As most of you probably know, I am a full-time wedding and lifestyle photographer. This year I’m so excited to say that I have 22 weddings booked and I’m so so excited to watch all of my sweet couples say their “I do’s”! My dear friend is getting married this year and I’m lucky enough to be getting to photograph her big day in Newport, Rhode Island! I can’t tell you how honored I am to get to not only be there on her big day, but to document with my husband, Cameron by my side as my second shooter.
I wanted to do something extra special for her before her wedding day and had the idea of having a little wedding planning lunch at my house on our back patio! Since my friend is getting married in Newport on the water, I went with a nautical theme which was just perfect for a New England bride.
Christmas Tree Shops andThat! had so many different wedding themes in stock and I loved looking through them as I shopped for her! There were so many cute options for a bachelorette, wedding shower, or engagement party. I was able to really go all out on this as everything was such a good value!
I had fun decorating our outdoor table with light blues and whites that seemed fitting to match her upcoming wedding day! I also found some really cute wood candle holders and outdoor candles that added a nice soft touch.
The inspiration for this little get-together was this super cute “Wedding Planning Wine” glass that I found! I figured why not go over her wedding timeline with some wine in hand and some fun gifts to open!
I also love these big baskets they have with sweet wedding sayings on them – I think these are perfect for her to use to transport decor to and from her hotel room to the reception or simply to put her wedding planning things in!
If you’re a bride-to-be, planning a bachelorette or bridal shower I can’t recommend Christmas Tree Shops andThat! enough!
